EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Lunsemfwa Hydro Power Company Limited (LHPC) is an independent hydro-electric power producer based in Kabwe in the Central Province of Zambia. LHPC owns two Hydropower Stations namely, Mulungushi Power Station and Lunsemfwa Power Station with installed capacity of 32 MW and 24 MW respectively. The two Power Stations have both an upstream reservoir and four generating units each. The older units have undergone refurbishment in recent years. LHPC has Power Purchase Agreements with ZESCO and Copperbelt Energy Corporation. LHPC is also a member of the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP).
Therefore, the Company invites applications from highly motivated, result-oriented, suitably qualified and experienced professionals to fill the following vacancy:
OFFICE ASSISTANT
Job Purpose
This role is responsible for maintaining overall office cleanliness, ensuring timely communication and delivery of documents in the LHPC.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee office cleaning and repairs including but not limited to kitchens, offices, conference rooms etc.
- Maintain an up to date, effective and accessible filing system for all the electronic and hard copy documents to facilitate records retrieval.
- Manage the delivery of mail from office to office.
- Ensure that the boardroom and conference room are ready for the meeting and training
- Ensure that office refreshments are available all the time to the office staff and visitors
- Uphold health and safety and environmental management requirements
- Perform any other duties that may be allocated from time to time
- Photocopy, bind and manage company documents and records
- Ensure that required kitchen utensils are readily available
- Prepare meals and snacks for internal visitors.
- Perform day-to-day administrative functions
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 School Certificate
- Valid Class B Drivers’ License
