The Key Purpose of this role is to safely operate and maintain the brewing plant to produce a consistent product of the right quality at optimum cost. Proper understanding of VPO and its implementation.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Operate brewing plant and equipment·

  • Prepare for plant start up
  • Start-up plant
  • Run the plant
  • Shut down the plant
  • Execute cleaning of plant
  • Complete all documentation
  • Control inputs usage
  • Ensure plant is in working order
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment

Monitor and control the brewing process: ·

  • Measure performance attributes
  • Record performance attributes
  • Monitor and evaluate trends
  • Assure quality of inputs
  • Initiate corrective action

Perform autonomous maintenance: ·

  • Prepare for maintenance tasks
  • Conduct autonomous maintenance tasks
  • Conduct breakdown maintenance tasks

Problem Solving: ·

  • Reduction in time to detect and time to correct defects
  • Completed 5 Whys Job cards

Employment Resources

VPO:

  • General housekeeping at work area
  • Implementation of VPO routines

Health Safety & Environment:

  • Adherence to PPE policy
  • Identification of unsafe practices (SIOs)
  • Safe maintenance practices
  • Maintenance tools in good working order

Minimum Requirements:

  • Preferred Min –Craft/ Full Technician Certificate
  • Min 3 years in FMCG manufacturing industry
  • Computer Literate
  • Ability to work in teams.
  • Team player and good communication skills
  • Prepare for plant start up
  • Start-up plant
  • Run the plant
  • Shut down the plant
  • Execute cleaning of plant
  • Complete all documentation
