Educore Services operates a dynamic group of schools undertaking multiple owner-builder construction projects over the next two years. We are seeking a highly motivated, resourceful and detail-oriented individual to manage project procurement and logistics across our sites, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of building materials. This role is pivotal in bridging operations and supply chains, working alongside our experienced on-site teams. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and works well with limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms for high-quality building materials
- Place orders in alignment with site-specific construction schedules
- Coordinate transportation and delivery across geographically dispersed sites
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast material needs
- Maintain accurate procurement records and manage budgets
- Troubleshoot supply chain delays and resolve issues proactively
- Collaborate with project leads to align procurement with operational priorities
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building & Materials Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management or other related disciplines
- Previous experience in procurement or construction logistics—either through professional work or internships
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Experience working in Zambia or an understanding of the local building materials market is a plus
- Ability to work independently and adapt to dynamic project needs
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and solve problems without waiting for direction
- Comfortable operating in environments with evolving priorities
