The Opportunity
Hobbiton is seeking a highly driven, execution-focused, and commercially sharp Product Commercial Lead to own and drive the commercial success of our core products.
Based at our Head Office in Lusaka and reporting to the Head of Commercial, this role is ideal for a results-oriented professional who thrives on revenue ownership, building pipelines, closing deals, and acting as the voice of the customer within a fast-growing fintech environment.

What You Will Do
Revenue Ownership for the Product
- Own and deliver revenue targets for your assigned product.
- Build, manage, and convert a qualified sales pipeline.
- Close B2C, B2B, and partnership deals.
- Drive upsell, cross-sell, and customer retention initiatives.
Market and Customer Development
- Identify, segment, and prioritize target customer groups.
- Conduct customer discovery, demos, and sales conversations.
- Understand customer buying drivers, objections, and churn triggers.
- Act as the voice of the customer by feeding structured insights back to the Product team.
Go-To-Market Execution
- Execute product-specific go-to-market (GTM) plans.
- Test and refine acquisition channels and sales tactics.
- Support product launches, pilots, and market experiments.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing on messaging, positioning, and campaigns.
Partnerships and Distribution
- Identify and onboard distribution and strategic partners relevant to the product.
- Manage partner relationships and track commercial performance.
- Monitor partner-led revenue, activation, and pipeline contribution.
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with Product and Technology teams on:
- Feature requests backed by clear revenue logic.
- Bug prioritization impacting sales conversion and customer experience.
- Pricing and packaging experiments.
- Align with Customer Support teams to improve onboarding, usage, and retention.
Success Metrics
- Product revenue performance.
- Pipeline value, quality, and velocity.
- Conversion rates across customer segments.
- Retention, repeat usage, and churn reduction.
- Quality and impact of product feedback provided.
- Contribution to product roadmap and prioritization decisions.
Requirements
- Full Grade Twelve or O-Level Certificate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Product Management, or a related field.
- 4–7 years’ experience in sales, growth, or commercial roles, preferably within fintech, financial services, or technology-driven environments.
- Proven ability to own revenue targets and close deals.
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset with comfort working with data.
- Ability to communicate fluently with both customers and technical teams.
- Strong ownership mentality-accountable for outcomes, not excuses.
- Highly execution-focused, proactive, and commercially astute.
- Experience working across both B2B and B2C environments.
- Demonstrated success in driving product adoption and revenue growth.
