Job Purpose:

Lead and oversee the CHOICE Program to ensure effective planning, implementation, partnership management, and compliance with donor requirements, while advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and Gender Justice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and technical leadership for CHOICE program development and implementation.
  • Coordinate country teams, partners, and advisors to deliver impactful results.
  • Manage budgets, operational plans, and MEAL frameworks.
  • Ensure donor compliance and timely reporting.
  • Build strategic partnerships and networks for SRHR and Gender Justice advocacy.
  • Support resource mobilization and donor engagement.
  • Promote program visibility through communications and documentation.

Core Dimensions:

  • Strategic input into program plans and resource management.
  • Represents the program in internal and external forums.
  • Provides specialist advice and ensures program quality and learning.
  • Requires strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.

SKILLS , COMPETENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum degree in public health, nursing, development studies, sociology, or related areas with experience working on Youth SRH issues. Those with master’s degree will have added advantage.
  • Five years of experience in development work, preferably within a large development or humanitarian organisation.
  • Knowledge in SRHR issues and gender issues is critical.
  • Assertive with good judgement over issues.
  • Project management skills and drive to achieve results, to ensure timely delivery of activities.
  • Strong communicator that is confident in challenging environments.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and support others at various level- local and international.
  • Team player with the ability to work across teams.
  • Adaptable and flexible person.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with partners and country teams.
  • Experience working on advocacy and influencing issues.
  • Belief in Oxfam’s value and mission to overcome poverty and suffering.
