Unicaf University in Zambia is growing and looking for applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Programme Coordinator – Doctoral Programmes in Education.

Key Responsibilities
Academic Quality and Programme Development

• Support the quality enhancement of doctoral module content across Education programmes.
• Ensure that programme learning materials are regularly updated.
• Ensure Quality Assurance standards are maintained within the Department.
• Contribute to programme accreditation and re-accreditation processes.
• Continuously monitor tutors’ performance and oversee their evaluation.

Student Progression and Supervision

• Supervise doctoral students and act as Internal Examiner within your area of expertise.
• Participate in and/or chair progression boards and doctoral student evaluations.

Reporting and Institutional Responsibilities

• Report to the Dean of the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences (UUZ) and/or the Dean of Doctoral Studies (UU Federal).

Requirements

• A doctoral degree in a relevant field is mandatory
• Proficient knowledge of English
• Knowledge of research methods and research ethics
• Prior teaching and doctoral supervising experience in higher education.
• Administrative experience within an educational institution. Experience within higher education will be considered an advantage
• Target oriented with good time-management skills and attention to detail
• Confident, team-worker
• Excellent planning and organisational skills, including the ability to manage a range of tasks with conflicting priorities

Experience in Months: 48

Level of Education: bachelor degree
