The Directorate is responsible for effectively managing and optimizing the financial aspects of ZCCM-IH. To monitor ZCCM IH financial health, compliance with regulations, and provide support for strategic decision-making leading to maximization of financial performance and stability while minimizing risks and ensuring financial transparency and overall success and sustainability of the business
JOB PURPOSE
To plan, manage, and deliver the successful migration from Sage ERP to Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring that the ERP solution meets business, financial, control, regulatory, and reporting requirements, and is delivered on time, within scope, and within approved budget
Responsibilities or duties
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive ERP project plan, roadmap, and implementation timeline, covering design, configuration, data migration, testing, training, go-live, and stabilization
- Establish and manage project governance structures, including reporting mechanisms, escalation procedures, and alignment with the ERP Steering Committee.
- Lead business requirements gathering and process reviews across the Group to ensure alignment between system functionality and operational needs.
- Oversee the configuration, customization, and integration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules, ensuring best practice system design and control frameworks.
- Manage data cleansing, migration, validation, and reconciliation from Sage ERP to Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Coordinate and oversee system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and resolution prior to go-live.
- Lead change management, stakeholder communication, and end-user training to ensure effective adoption of the ERP system.
- Manage go-live activities and post-implementation stabilization, addressing system issues and ensuring business continuity.
- Ensure the ERP system supports IFRS compliance, SEC Zambia regulatory requirements, COSO 2013 Internal Control Framework, and embeds segregation of duties, approval workflows, and audit trails
- Prepare and submit regular project status, risk, and progress reports to Management and the ERP Steering Committee.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time in relation to the ERP implementation project.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Minimum level of academic qualifications required to perform effectively in the role
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
Minimum level of professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role
- ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- Project Management certification (PRINCE2 or equivalent)
Skills and competencies
Technical:
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Financial reporting and IFRS knowledge
- Understanding of internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks
- Data migration and systems integration expertise
- Project management and implementation methodologies
Functional:
- Business process analysis and redesign
- Stakeholder and vendor management
- Change management and user training
Behavioural:
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism
Experience needed
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in ERP implementations, financial systems, or large-scale systems transformation projects
- Proven experience leading Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP implementations
- Demonstrated experience working in complex, multi-entity or Group environments
