Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance and Compliance Research Governance Officer to support our research operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all research activities comply with regulatory standards, institutional policies, and best practices. This role is critical in upholding research integrity, maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS), and promoting a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities include the following but not limited to:
1. Ensure Research Integrity
- Conduct internal audits and assessments to verify compliance with research protocols, institutional policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor research activities to ensure data integrity, ethical conduct, and adherence to good research practices.
- Investigate allegations of research misconduct (e.g., fabrication, falsification, plagiarism) in line with established protocols
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions for identified areas of non-compliance.
2. Develop and Maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Design, implement, and oversee effective QA processes and procedures.
- Establish and track quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for continuous monitoring.
- Collaborate with research and administrative teams to address and resolve quality issues.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in research operations and study implementation.
3. Key Deliverables
- Timely research audit and compliance reports
- Accurate documentation and follow-up of findings and corrective and preventative actions
- Training materials and records
- QMS documentation and performance metrics
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality assurance, research compliance, or research auditing.
- Knowledge of local and international regulatory and ethical standards (e.g., GCP, IRB guidelines, national/international research ethics).
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in research audit tools, documentation, and quality improvement frameworks.
Personal Attributes:
Mature and sober character
Reliable, dependable and honest
Ability to communicate in English and local languages fluently
