Senior Finance Manager is to lead and manage the finance function within our Africa operations. This is a senior leadership role requiring a strong technical background, proven ability to manage large teams, and the capacity to work independently while adding measurable value to the organization and the finance department.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, driving strategic financial planning, and providing insights that contribute to the company’s overall growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a large finance and accounting team.
- Oversee end-to-end financial management including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance.
- Develop and implement effective financial strategies that support organizational objectives.
- Provide senior management with timely, accurate financial analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance department.
- Act as a strategic partner to the executive team by contributing to business decisions and growth initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CA, CPA) is essential.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 4 years in a senior management role.
- Strong technical finance and accounting expertise.
- Proven ability to manage large teams and run finance functions independently.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to add value through strategic financial management.
