At the Learning Ladder, we are moving from reactive management to proactive, collective accountability. We seek educators who are committed TO Building a Legacy of trust and operational excellence.
Responsibilities or duties
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for learners.
- Assist learners in accessing the curriculum and achieving learning goals.
- Implement strategies from Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with classroom teachers.
- Support learners with social, emotional, behavioural, and academic development.
- Observe, assess, and document learner progress and share reports with teachers and parents.
- Facilitate inclusion and integration of learners within mainstream classrooms.
- Work closely with teachers and school management to tailor learning approaches.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding standards
- Maintain regular, professional communication with parents regarding the learner's daily progress and goal attainment, ensuring a strong home-school partnership.
- Provide detailed reports and feedback to parents to justify interventions and celebrate developmental milestones
- Uphold strict professional ethics and safeguarding standards while acting as a dedicated support link for the family.
Qualifications or requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or Special Education
- Training or experience in working with learners with Autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, or other learning difficulties is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of child development and differentiated instruction.
- Excellent communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, empathetic, and child-centred approach.
Experience needed
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting learners.
