Job Summary
The role is Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of a store, including receiving, storing, and issuing goods and materials. To ensure accurate inventory records and adhere to store policies and procedures. This role also involves- ensuring compliance with safety regulations and providing information to management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving stock from vendors, inspecting for quality and quantity, and ensuring adherence to purchase orders.
- Issuing materials to the respective user departments as per authorization.
- Preparing documentation of goods receipts- ensuring proper storage and handling of goods, issues and others as per requirement- accurate records of inventory, tracking stock movements.
- Communicating with various departments if any issues i.e. quality, quantity, damages and shortages.
- Regular stock-taking and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of records.
Requirements for the Role
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Stores Management, Purchasing and Supply Management, or another business related course coupled with relevant experience.
- Member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply
- Minimum of 5 years stores management experience (experience in Mining Industry will be an added advantage).
- Good understanding of stores management.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
