Job Description – Team Lead (Driver & Supervisor)
Position Title: Team Lead – Mobile Vehicle Washing Unit
Department: Operations
Reports To: Operations Manager

Employment Type: 1-Year Contract (3-Month Probation)
Start Date: May 2025

Job Purpose:
The Team Lead will serve a dual role as the unit supervisor and driver, overseeing a 4-person vehicle fleet washing team. This individual is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are cleaned efficiently and to a high standard, within the allocated time. The Team Lead is also expected to play a leadership role in customer engagement, team recruitment, training, and performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Supervision:

Drive the team to various job sites daily.

Supervise and actively participate in vehicle washing tasks.

Ensure all assigned vehicles are cleaned within the scheduled timeframes.

Maintain high standards of quality control on every job.

Allocate tasks within the team to maximize efficiency.

Team Management:

Recruit and train team members with support from management.

Motivate and guide team members to meet targets and service standards.

Monitor performance and provide on-the-job coaching.

Treat other departments as customers

Customer Service & Feedback:

Engage professionally with clients on-site.

Collect client feedback after each job.

Report feedback to management and act on it to improve service delivery.

Handle minor customer concerns on-site and escalate major issues to management.

Reporting & Improvement:

Submit daily or weekly team performance reports.

Recommend changes for operational improvement.

Ensure all tools, equipment, and supplies are accounted for and properly maintained.

• Requirements:
  Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Proven leadership and organizational skills.
• Experience in vehicle cleaning, detailing, or similar service roles is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet daily targets.
• High attention to detail and quality.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Terms of Offer:
  Contract Duration: 1 Year
• Probation Period: 3 Months
• Gross Monthly Salary: K4,500
• Performance Review: After 3 months and then every 6 months
• Salary Adjustment: Based on performance and team success
• Clear Career Path: Progression within the Company into Senior Roles on successful performance
• Work Schedule: 6 days a week, with flexible hours based on bookings
