Job Description

The Assistant IT Officer – Temp shall ensure that all Infratel business support systems are managed, maintained and supported as per agreed operational service level agreements.
The Assistant IT Officer shall implement and review security and best practices in the provision of IT Services to both internal and external customers.
The Assistant IT Officer shall ensure that all Infratel business systems are maintained and supported and are available at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support Website and Web Applications for Infratel
  • Maintain and support Backups and DR measures for the website and web applications
  • Train and Provide support users on usage of all web Applications
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures that have been put in place for all systems and processes
  • Support regular security assessments programmes that are conducted
  • Ensure system sensitization and security awareness programmes are done
  • Change Management, Configuration and Patch Management
  • Recommend new features or changes to configuration/ workflows based on user feedback
  • Perform Patch Management for all systems
  • Carryout Change Management Processes
  • Provide support for administration of data Centre infrastructure and systems
  • Support for Cloud Services Deployment and Administration
  • Support for all internal applications and systems
  • Maintain and support Access Control systems
  • Maintain and support CCTV footage
  • Hardware Maintenance
  • Maintain and support all hardware for the enterprise and forthe data centre
  • Maintain an accurate IT inventory
  • Undertake periodic Preventative Maintenance on all IT Hardware
  • Manage and maintain the Incident Management System 
  • Train users on all ICT applications
  • Sensitize users on security entrenchment on all
  • Support all Infratel Staff on all applications
  • Provide periodical reports for all operations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in ComputerScience or in any relevant field 
  • Member of ICTAZ 

Key Competencies and Skills

  • Good knowledge of BSS
  • Good knowledge of IT desktop support
  • Good knowledge of backup solutions, restoration andtroubleshooting
  • Good knowledge of Project Management
  • Good knowledge of hardware support, networkingand communication protocols
  • Abilityto collaborate and work with a team
  • Strongoral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task while paying strongattention to detail
  • Highly proven ethical conduct andfree from criminal record; and
  • Highly computerliterate and presentation skills

Years of Experience Required

  • Minimum of two (2)years of Information Technology experience
