Job Summary:
Travel Consultants are the frontline experts who assist clients in planning and booking their travel arrangements. They provide advice, create tailored itineraries, and handle bookings for flights, accommodations, tours, and insurance, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget.
- Research, plan, and book travel arrangements including flights, hotels, car rentals, and tours.
- Use Global Distribution Systems (GDS) to check availability and make reservations.
- Promote and sell travel insurance, visas, and other related products.
- Process payments and prepare travel documents, itineraries, and invoices.
- Stay updated on travel restrictions, destination information, and industry trends.
- Handle changes, cancellations, and resolve any travel-related issues.
- Build and maintain a client portfolio for repeat business.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Travel Consultant or similar role.
- Proficiency in using at least one major GDS (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).
- Excellent knowledge of travel software and strong computer skills.
- Outstanding communication, sales, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
- Relevant certification (e.g., IATA/UFTAA diploma) is a plus.
