Job Purpose :
To achieve operational excellence by providing effective liaison between Distribution and Customers to meet the Business Unit Scorecard and customer requirements. To achieve operational excellence by providing effective liaison between Distribution and Customers to meet the Business Unit Scorecard and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure PODs (Proof of Deliveries) are filed according to routes and delivery schedules.
- Record all PODs prior to filing.
- Investigate waybills that did not print and seek authorisation before reprinting.
- Schedule delivery appointments with major retail stores such as Game, BWH, Bex, etc.
- Monitor PODs for errors and resolve them prior to delivery.
- Respond promptly to telephonic customer enquiries regarding deliveries.
- Ensure printers are operational at all times and schedule maintenance as required.
- Prepare and amend loadsheets detailing correct driver, assistant, and weight information.
- Ensure timely action on all customer returns and pick-ups.
- Adhere strictly to ISO 9002 standards.
- Ensure compliance with OHS Act and Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act regulations.
- Promote and support MDWT (Management Development and Workplace Training) programmes.
- Maintain accuracy, integrity, and security of stock at all times.
- Manage and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Resolve customer and operational day-to-day queries efficiently and effectively.
Required Skills & Attributes
- Computer Literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Customer Service Orientation
- Strong Communication Skills
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Procurement and Supply (or equivalent qualification)
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years relevant work experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
- Valid driving license
- Membership of ZIPS (Zambia Institute of Procurement and Supply) or CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply)
- Knowledge of warehouse and inventory management practices
- Experience in logistics or distribution planning
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
