Job Purpose
The Account Developer will identify new business opportunities, manage existing customer accounts, and drive sales growth within the assigned territory. The role requires strong FMCG knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities through market research and customer visits.
- Assess potential dealers against established criteria.
- Develop and implement plans to convert potential dealers into active customers.
Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Conduct regular customer reviews to understand needs and provide suitable solutions.
- Negotiate and agree on trading terms and conditions.
- Communicate account plans, promotions, and product information accurately and on time.
Sales Growth
- Implement sales strategies to grow assigned accounts.
- Identify opportunities to expand sales across products and brands.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
- Work closely with internal teams to support sales initiatives.
Administration and Reporting
- Maintain accurate customer records.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports and account plans.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Competencies
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Confident, outgoing, and relationship-focused.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work under pressure.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related business field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ FMCG sales or marketing experience.
- Computer literacy is essential.
