We seek a qualified Auto Mechanic to maintain safari vehicles, utility trucks, and machinery.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Auto Mechanic to join our team in Kafue, Zambia. As an Auto Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues using computerized diagnostic equipment
  • Repair and replace vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and recommend preventive maintenance
  • Explain vehicle issues and repair options to customers in a clear and professional manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols
  • Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used

Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent; in automotive technology preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an auto mechanic
  • Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic equipment and various hand and power tools
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, and computerized components
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively
  • Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members
  • Valid driver's license

  • Three traceable referees with valid mobile numbers and email addresses.
