JOB PURPOSE

To establish, build, develop and review relationships in the community with individuals, communities and organisations to promote the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) between ZCCM-IH and Zemine ( a subsidiary of MMR) that will develop and manage the Kikonge project and ensure the community is fully engaged, aware of developments in the project and participate in appropriate fora.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Making contacts in the wider community, to ensure that most people derive benefit from the project
  • Researching and identifying avenues of project development/ partnerships.
  • To deal with incoming enquiries and act as a point of contact and distributing messages/ information about the Company as required.
  • To develop and maintain relationships in the community, with key stakeholders, in a planned and structured manner
  • Carry out presentations and meetings with community bodies
  • Acting as an ambassador of the company, whilst out in the community,
  • Create and maintain a stakeholder liaison database
  • Collate and share feedback across the Company communicating with the whole team effectively
  • Maintain a communications activity tracker which documents the steps taken to maintain good relationships with the community
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships helping to respond to requests for information, attending meetings and helping to nurture a collaborative and productive environment
  • Organise individual meetings with key local authorities, health providers etc

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Minimum level of academic qualifications required to perform effectively in the role

Bachelor of Art degree in Social Sciences or its equivalent

Skills and competencies

Technical:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project tracking tools
  • Basic data analysis
  • Reading site plans, layouts, or project maps
  • Drivers Licence

Functional:

  • Strong organisational, coordination, and follow-up skills
  • Documentation and reporting skills
  • Stakeholder coordination and meeting facilitation support
  • Understanding cultural norms, social dynamics, or local issues

Behavioural:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Conflict-sensitive communication and inclusive engagement
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and supportive approach
  • Conflict Resolution & Problem-Solving

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Minimum of 3 years relevant experience at middle management in the large organisation

Working directly with diverse communities

This is a TEMPORARY JOB FOR 6 MONTHS IN MUFUMBWE
