JOB DETAILS:
The Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) Council of Zambia is a Christian, membership, non-partisan, non-governmental organization (“NGO”) dedicated to the empowerment of the community. The organisation was established in 1957 and has a presence in all the 10 provinces of Zambia.
YWCA has set aside funds to review and update organizational policies and manuals and seeks to engage suitably qualified and experienced consultants to conduct this assignment. The Manuals and Policies to be updated are:
• Finance Manual
• Human Resources Manual
• Travel Policy
• Anti-Fraud and Corruption Policy
• Programme Implementation Manual
• Monitoring and Evaluation Manual
• HIV and AIDS Policy
• Gender Policy
• Disability Policy
• Child and Youth Policy
• Child Safeguarding Policy
• Board of Directors Charter
• Community Engagement Strategy

1. Finance Manual
Qualifications and Experience
• Full ACCA or Degree in Accountancy
• Master’s Degree in Finance will be an added advantage.
• Over five years work experience in finance at managerial level in a reputable establishment.
• Over five years’ experience in policy review and development.
• Excellent written and communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft.
• Demonstration of past experience development of Finance manuals through samples of works done of a similar nature.

2. Human Resources Manual
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Human Resource
• Master’s Degree in Human Resources will be an added advantage
• Over five years work experience in a human resources department at managerial level in a reputable establishment.
• Over five years’ experience in policy review and development.
• Excellent written and communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft suit.
• Demonstration of past experience in development of HR manuals through samples of works done of a similar nature.

3. Travel Policy
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Transport and Logistics or Business Administration
• Master’s in Business Administration will be an added advantage
• Over five years work experience in a logistics and transport department at managerial level in a reputable establishment.
• Over five years’ experience in policy review and development.
• Excellent written communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft suit.
• Demonstration of past experience in development of similar manuals through samples of works done of a similar nature.

4. Anti-Fraud and Corruption Policy
Qualifications and Experience
• Full ACCA or Degree in Accountancy
• Master’s Degree in Finance will be an added advantage
• Over five years work experience in finance at managerial level in a reputable establishment.
• Over five years’ experience in policy review and development.
• Excellent written communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft suit.

5. Programme Implementation Manual
• Bachelor’s Degree in Development studies, Project Management or other related social sciences
• Master’s Degree in Development/Project Management studies will be an added advantage
• Over five years work experience in Development programme at managerial level in a reputable institute.
• Over five years’ experience in policy review and development.
• Excellent written communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft suit.
• Demonstration of past experience in the development of organisational workplace manuals through samples of works done of a similar nature.

6. Monitoring and Evaluation Manual
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Demography, Statistics, Analytics or other relevant discipline.
• Master’s Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Demography, Statistics, Analytics or other relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
• Member of Zambia Monitoring and Evaluation Association (ZaMEA)
• Over five years’ experience in policy review and development.
• Excellent written communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft suit.
• Evidence of similar work done before.

7. HIV and AIDS Policy
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Nursing, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), or equivalent with additional training and experience in ART
• Master’s Degree in Public Health, Nursing, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) will be added advantage.
• Registered with The Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) or General Nursing Council of Zambia (GNC)
• Over five years’ experience in policy review and development.
• Excellent written communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft
• Evidence of similar works done before.

8. Gender Policy
• Bachelor’s Degree in Gender studies, Development Studies or other related discipline.
• Master’s Degree in Gender studies, Development Studies will be an added advantage
• Over five years work experience in Development/Gender programme at managerial level in a reputable institute.
• Over five years’ experience in policy review and development.
• Excellent written communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft suit.
• Evidence of similar works done before.

9. Disability Policy
• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Adult Education, Development Studies or other related discipline.
• Master’s Degree in Special Education, Adult Education, Development Studies will be an added advantage
• Over five years work experience in Special Education, Adult Education or Development programme at managerial level in a reputable institute.
• Over five years’ experience in policy review and development.
• Excellent written communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft suit.
• Evidence of similar works done before.
10. Child and Youth Policy
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Security Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Education (BAEd), Development Studies or other related discipline.
• Master’s Degree in Security Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Education (BAEd), Development Studies will be an added advantage
• Over five years work experience in Security, Education and Development programme at managerial level in a reputable institute.
• Over five years’ experience in policy review and development.
• Excellent written communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft suit.
• Evidence of similar works done before.

11. Child Safeguarding Policy
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Security Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Education (BAEd) , Development Studies or other related discipline.
• Master’s Degree in Human Security Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Education (BAEd), Development Studies will be an added advantage
• Over five years work experience in Security, Education and Development programme at managerial level in a reputable institute.
• Over five years’ experience in policy review and development.
• Excellent written communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft suit.
• Evidence of similar works done before.

12. Board of Directors Charter
• Bachelor’s Degree in Gender studies, Development Studies or other related discipline.
• Master’s Degree in Gender studies, Development Studies will be an added advantage
• Over five years work experience in Development/Gender programme at managerial level in a reputable institute.
• Over five years’ experience in policy review and development.
• Excellent written communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft suit.
• Evidence of similar works done before.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Gender studies, Development Studies or other related discipline.

• Over five years work experience in Security, Education and Development programme at managerial level in a reputable institute.
