Job Title: Engineer – Quality Assurance
The key responsibilities for this role include but not limited to the following:
- Site Survey Coordination – Arrange and review site surveys to ensure requirements are met and contractors are well-informed.
- Project Implementation Oversight – Facilitate and inspect customer link installations and upgrades, ensuring timely milestone signoffs.
- Contractor Supervision – Monitor contractor performance to ensure work is completed within schedule and meets specifications.
- Configuration Support – Carry out configurations for Internet, VPN, MPLS, SIP, Voice E1s, and APN solutions.
- Resource Management – Monitor equipment stock levels and ensure availability for installations.
- Quality Assurance – Inspect completed works and ensure compliance with MTN’s acceptance procedures and standards.
- Reporting – Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including incident reports.
- Stakeholder Liaison – Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Transmission, Datacom) and external contractors to ensure smooth operations.
- Project Handover – Facilitate customer sign-off and handover of completed links to Operations.
- Continuous Improvement – Identify and implement improvements to operational procedures for cost-effective solutions.
Candidate Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate with 5 credit or better of which English and Mathematics are a must.
- 4-year degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or related field.
- Three (3) years hands-on experience in radio and transmission field.
- Demonstrated experience in telecommunications and managing contractors.
