Background
Zambia Sugar Plc. is an ABF Group sugar company and is the leading sugar producer in Zambia. Its main activities are the growing of sugar cane, the production and marketing of sugar and other sugar downstream products.
The company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions in the Supply Chain Department to be based at Nakambala:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a variety of warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Inspect vehicle as needed to perform pre-trip inspection.
- Load and unload trucks at pickup and delivery points.
- Ensure all stock on truck is secured and delivered in good condition.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene to both self and truck.
- Treat the internal and external customers with courtesy and respect.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area at all times including warehouse grounds and vehicles.
- Periodically work extended work hours.
- Attend safety meetings and training to help maintain a robust safety culture.
- Report near misses, hazards and incidents in a timely manner.
- Promote and adhere to business procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).
- Execute any other duties that as assigned to by the supervisor from time to time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Valid and clean driver’s License.
- Physically fit.
