ICAP seeks to recruit for the following positions in Zambia

Position Title: Provincial Community Engagement Manager (01)
Reports to: Provincial Deputy Director
Location: Mongu
Position summary
Working under the guidance of the Provincial Deputy Director, the Provincial Community Engagement Manager will serve as the community focal point for ICAP in Southern and Western provinces of Zambia. The Manager will provide support to project teams at district and provincial level, liaising with partners and local organizations to ensure community mobilization and community engagement activities are strengthened in order to ensure access to quality HIV prevention, care and treatment services in the assigned provinces. The community activities will focus on all aspects of HIV programming including HIV/TB Prevention, case identification, linkage and retention in care and treatment as well as VL monitoring.

Major responsibilities
• Coordinate community HIV/TB activities working with the Provincial health team and other implementing partners at provincial and district level.
• Provide leadership to proactively engage community leadership who are key to provide guidance and support for achievement of PHO deliverables for HIV/TB care and treatment
• Support and monitor HTS activities at community level to promote targeted testing with priority to HIV index testing and use of HIVST for hard-to-reach populations
• Provide mentorship in community level HIV/TB prevention, case identification and oversee linkage of HIV+ patients to care and treatment services from community to facility within the zone.
• Collaborate with relevant community partners at provincial level to optimize and scale up HTS for key populations and priority populations
• Provide leadership to design and guide the implementation of community strategies that improve retention in care, adherence to treatment and viral suppression in both provinces
• Support the provincial teams, implementing partners and district teams to optimize strategies and efforts to identify and track patients who miss appointments.
• Collaborate with DHO community team to provide ongoing community adherence support in order to improve retention in care
• Mentorship and coordination of district managers and DHO to supervise and monitor activities by community-based volunteers working with community partners to improve retention in care.
• Leadership to design and guide the implementation of appropriate community DSD models in the provinces to increase access to HIV/TB care and treatment services
• Design innovations that will assist PHOs to create demand for TB/HIV services through mentorship to DHOs/PHOs for successful sensitization meetings with key stakeholders within the provinces.
• Collaborate with relevant community partners and CBOs within the Provinces to conduct innovative community health communication/campaigns to stimulate behavior change relating to the importance of adherence to ART and VL suppression

Qualifications
• Degree in public health, social work, development studies or related field
• Master’s degree in public health will be an added advantage

Experience and skills required
• Minimum 3 years’ demonstrated experience in relevant community mobilization and engagement under health.
• Experience working in donor funded projects a Plus
• Fluent English oral and written communication skills
• Ability to interact professionally in English and oversee development of comprehensive program reports
• Computer skills: Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint
• A team player with ability to coordinate HIV/TB services at Provincial level
