Job Summary

As part of our expansion strategy, we are seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager – Motor Division to lead, scale, and strengthen our motor operations in Lusaka. This senior leadership role is suited to a commercially driven professional with deep knowledge of the motor industry and a strong track record in managing complex, multi-department operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the Motor Division in line with company growth objectives.
  • Oversee all operational areas including vehicle sales, after-sales, service, parts, logistics, and administration.
  • Drive revenue growth, market penetration, and brand positioning within the Zambian motor market.
  • Develop and implement business plans, budgets, forecasts, and performance targets.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and motor industry best practices.
  • Build, lead, mentor, and retain high-performing management and operational teams.
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with suppliers, financiers, manufacturers, and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends and implement innovative strategies to maintain competitiveness and profitability.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years’ senior management experience within the motor industry or a closely related sector.
  • Proven experience managing multi-department motor operations (sales, service, parts, fleet, and after-sales).
  • Strong financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead growth, expansion, or turnaround initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder management skills.

Note: All academic and professional qualifications must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
