The FHI 360 Zambia Country currently invites applications from interested candidates on the USAID Open Doors Project for the position of Project Driver for a short-term contract of upto September,2022. The USAID Open Doors Project is an activity providing comprehensive HIV prevention, care, and treatment services to key populations in targeted provinces of Zambia with the goal of contributing to a reduction in new HIV infections, in alignment with Zambia’s revised National HIV and AIDS Strategic Framework (RNASF), 2020-2023. Open Doors Project supports the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) as it works towards the goal of an AIDS-Free generation, in Zambia, as well as globally.

Basic Function
To drive assigned project vehicles, transporting FHI360 staff and consultants to sites within and outside of within their designated sites.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure smooth running of transport operations, in conjunction with supervisor, by consistently monitoring the transport calendar and requests.
• Ensure vehicle is properly maintained, in all aspects including cleanliness.
• Provides day-to-day maintenance of the vehicle with timely oil changes, inspections, brakes, and tire pressure.
• Maintain vehicle mileage logbook in an accurate and consistent manner and submit log sheets to supervisor on a fortnightly basis, for onward submission to Finance Unit.
• Fulfill special requests by picking up and delivering items as directed and running errands

Qualifications and Requirements
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Minimum 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driving license
