Job Summary:
We are looking for five motivated and diligent Field Officers to execute our projects directly in the community. Field Officers are the face of our organization on the ground, responsible for implementing activities, collecting data, and engaging with beneficiaries. This role requires extensive field travel, excellent communication skills, and a passion for community service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field Implementation:
- Carry out daily field activities as outlined in the work plan provided by the Manager.
- Conduct surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions as required.
- Distribute materials, provide information, and mobilize community members.
- Data Collection & Reporting:
- Accurately collect and record field data using provided tools (e.g., surveys, mobile apps, forms).
- Submit daily or weekly activity reports to the Manager.
- Report any issues, challenges, or successes from the field promptly.
- Community Relations:
- Build trust and maintain positive relationships with community members and beneficiaries.
- Educate and inform the community about the organization’s projects and goals.
- Teamwork & Compliance:
- Work collaboratively with other Field Officers and team members.
- Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and safety guidelines in the field.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Certificate in a relevant field (e.g., Community Development, Social Work, Agriculture) is preferred. Significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Prior experience in a field-based role is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to speak the local language(s) is mandatory.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., using a smartphone for data entry, MS Word/Excel).
- Physically fit and willing to travel extensively within the operational area.
- Salary: K1,300
