Lanjiz Management Consultants is seeking a proactive and versatile professional with proven business development experience anda strong background in Learning and Development (L&D).
The role combines revenue generation with technical delivery support for consulting and capacity-building assignments.
The Business Development and L&D Consultant will support the growth of Lanjiz Management Consultants through business development initiatives while contributing to the design, development, and implementation of Learning and Development (L&D) solutions. The role requires a professional who can engage clients, support proposal development, and produce high-quality training materials, manuals, and LMS-based learning content.
Responsibilities or duties
Business Development and Client Engagement
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities across corporate, NGO, and institutional clients
- Support preparation of proposals, concept notes, pitch decks, and client presentations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and long-term partnerships
- Support marketing, market engagement, and visibility initiatives
- Contribute to achievement of agreed revenue and business development targets
Learning and Development / Consulting Support
- Support the design, development, and review of training programs and capacity-building interventions
- Develop and review training manuals, SOPs, toolkits, policies, and learning materials
- Support delivery of organizational development and training assignments
LMS and Learning Content Management
- Structure, upload, and manage learning content on the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS)
- Support basic LMS administration, learner tracking, and reporting
- Ensure learning content is user-friendly, well-structured, and aligned to project objectives
Expected Outputs
- Business opportunities identified, engaged, and converted
- Client proposals, concept notes, and pitch materials developed and submitted
- Training manuals, SOPs, toolkits, and learning materials developed and/or reviewed
- Learning content structured and managed on the LMS
- LMS reports generated to track learner progress and engagement
- Client relationships effectively managed to support repeat business
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, Organizational Development, Marketing, or a related field
- 2–5 years’ experience in business development, Learning and Development, consulting, or a related role
- Proven experience in developing training manuals, policies, SOPs, or structured learning content
- Hands-on experience working with Learning Management Systems (e.g. Moodle or similar platforms)
- Experience supporting proposal development, client pitches, and business development activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, self-driven, and able to work independently
