With operational terminals in Tanzania (Dar Es Salaam), Walvis Bay (Namibia), and Ndola (Zambia), ZCL is committed to delivering high-quality logistics solutions across the region.
ZCL has engaged Beatmas Human Resource Consultants Limited to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced professional for the position of Chief Finance Officer (CFO).
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will oversee all financial operations of ZCL, ensuring financial sustainability, compliance, and efficiency to support the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s business goals.
- Lead budgeting, financial forecasting, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including compliance with industry regulations.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures to optimize financial performance.
- Oversee treasury functions, debt management, investment strategies, and banking relationships.
- Implement cost-control measures across logistics operations, including transportation and warehousing.
- Collaborate with operations teams to enhance cost efficiency and financial sustainability.
- Serve as the primary financial liaison with investors, lenders, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Present financial results, strategies, and forecasts to the Board of Directors and key stakeholders.
- Oversee financial systems and software to ensure seamless integration with enterprise systems.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
- Full membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
- A Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance) is an added advantage.
- At least 7 years of progressive finance experience, with 5 years in senior leadership.
- Experience in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain sector is preferred.
- Strong financial acumen, including expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Knowledge of international financial operations, multiple currencies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience building high-performing finance teams.
