Context : Under the direct supervision of the Regional Director (RD) for Southern Africa in Pretoria, the successful candidate will be IOM's principal interlocutor with the Government of Zambia and relevant ministries, United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in Zambia, Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), Development Partners and civil society. S / he will be the Diplomatic Representative of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) accredited to the Republic of Zambia. S / he will be accountable and responsible for the management of the IOM Mission including the oversight of activities and programme development, fundraising, institutional liaison and the promotion of IOM services and strategy in Zambia. S / he will be responsible for keeping RO Pretoria, Headquarters (HQs) and other concerned missions informed of relevant governmental concerns and programmatic developments. .
