Job Purpose/Mission

This hybrid role brings together responsibilities from both digital and physical product domains, encompassing product strategy, digital product support, training, and pilot execution. The Specialist will contribute to product lifecycle management, ensure smooth platform operations, and help launch high-impact, customer-centric innovations aligned with ENGIE’s goals.

Responsibilities

1. Strategy

  • Support the Product Manager in executing the country product roadmap aligned with global priorities.
  • Identify product gaps, generate new ideas, and support go-to-market strategies.
  • Conduct customer visits and develop customer journeys/personas in collaboration with the commercial and CX teams.
  • Gather and synthesize product feedback from field teams and customers for continuous improvement.

3. Product Piloting & Commercialization

  • Lead planning and execution of pilot programs for both solar kits and digital products (e.g., phones, apps).
  • Work with Operations and Marketing to prepare launch materials, kitting, and printables.
  • Confirm QA processes and eligibility scripts with relevant teams.

4. Training & Field Support

  • Become the technical product expert and provide training/refresher sessions for field teams.
  • Adapt global training materials to local context.
  • Provide post-launch troubleshooting and ticket resolution support to all departments.

5. Digital Product Support

  • Ensure operational support and troubleshooting for digital platforms (e.g., mobile apps, phones).
  • Monitor and escalate platform issues in collaboration with the Global Digital Product team.
  • Maintain digital training materials and resolve support tickets.

6. Communications & Market Intelligence

  • Drive awareness and internal communication on new products, pricing updates, and grants.
  • Conduct quarterly market and competitor analysis and distribute intelligence reports.

7. Project Management

  • Track project progress, manage timelines and budget for launches and pilots.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for product and pricing decisions.
  • Provide internal success metrics and conduct product performance reviews.

8. Health, Safety and Environment

  • Ensure compliance to the HSE guidelines
  • Ensure zero incidents in regards to staff, storage of inventory, tools and waste

Knowledge and skills

Experience:

  • 2–3 years’ experience in product strategy, pricing, grants management, or digital product development.
  • Experience in solar, energy, or hardware product environments preferred.
  • Proven track record in cross-functional collaboration, especially across operations, CX, finance, and Marketing.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work in teams and independently
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills (English)
  • Attention to detail
  • Professional work ethic and demeanor
  • Previous experience in team management or cross-departmental collaboration desirable

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Product Management, or related field.

Language(s):

  • English
  • Local languages

Technology:

  • Computer skills – basic proficiency with email programs and in Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • SQL and data visualization skills (Tableau, PowerBi)
