Job description:
Purpose
To Plan maintenance works according to the prescribed standards while ensuring the safety of self and others

Key Responsibilities
• The incumbent will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
• Creating Purchase Requisitions (PRs)
• Creating Service Requisitions (SRs)
• Creating General Sales Orders
• Ensuring correct Equipment Hours have been uploaded into Pronto Promptly
• Set Clear Objectives & goes for Personnel in the section
• Create various section reports to monitor progress Daily, Weekly, Monthly & Annually.
• Build and maintain relationships with third parties to ensure safe and timely execution of maintenance activities against defined maintenance strategies, plans, and quality standards
• Perform and coordinate reporting activities to ensure the management is continuously informed and updated
• Lead, coach and mentor team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery against performance targets
• Anticipate and eliminate potential delays through planning and coordination of resources.
• Review forecast and system scheduled work.
• Review system generated maintenance work and component changes.
• Provide input into long-term planning for the Operation (e.g. 5 year plan, 2 year budget, short range forecast)
• Deliver executable plans for work management activities in accordance with defined equipment strategies, production plans, and other operational plans (training, HSEC etc.)
• Attend the weekly Schedule/Resource Meeting.
• Optimize maintenance plans and strategies in terms of cost, safety, and volumes.
• Resolve issues and ensure execution of activities in order to meet or exceed targets/ KPIs, in quality, quantity and timing
• Drive standardization and continuous improvement of work planning practices and procedures, including refinement of related processes.
• Identify Growth opportunities for the Planning team
• Coaching & Training subordinates

Qualifications
• Minimum of a Grade Twelve (Grade 12)
• Diploma/Degree in Engineering course or equivalent from recognized institution

Experience
• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a maintenance planner

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: Associate Degree
