VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: COORDINATOR – INFRASTRUCTURE
Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and committed individual for the position of Coordinator – Infrastructure to join the versatile Maintenance Team. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to the Superintendent – Infrastructure, you will be responsible for leading the infrastructure support services team in maintenance of buildings, offices, camps, warehouses and associated civil structures. Assigning supervisors and ensuring proper and efficient management of resources for efficient completion of shutdown, weekly maintenance or minor capital projects works.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead maintenance of buildings, workshops, offices, camps, warehouses, and associated civil structures,
- Ensure compliance with building codes, fire safety, and structural integrity standards,
- Manage contractor execution for civil works, renovations, and new infrastructure projects.
- Manage maintenance and compliance of bulk fuel storage facilities, including bunding, piping, metering, and safety systems
- Achievement of maintenance throughput and targets in the most cost-effective manner within budgets.
- Ensuring all planned maintenance activities are fully specified and recorded in SAP.
- Ensuring work orders are sufficiently actioned and signed off, with all resources and steps detailed to the point that a competent artisan has carried out the works and work orders are closed off in the system.
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, fuel handling procedures, and fire protection requirements.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of maintenance processes and systems.
- Develop and maintain a plan for defect elimination and managing bad actors.
- Coordinate updates and reviews of the maintenance strategy, including condition-based monitoring, task optimization, and preventive maintenance improvements.
- Develop, implement and maintain safe work procedures and promote high safety and health awareness. Promote and comply with the LMC Occupational Health & Safety Policy.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Full Grade Twelve School Certificate
- Minimum Diploma in Construction or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a supervisory role
- Significant experience in maintenance planning and scheduling of maintenance activities in Mining or processing environment
- Able to read, understand, and reference technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
- Computer literate and able to use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferably SAP, integrated management systems, word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications (e.g., MS office Word, Excel, Project, Power Point).
- Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia
- Holder of a current Zambian driver’s license.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
