Job Description
CCBA is the 8th largest Coca-Cola bottling partner in the world by revenue, and the largest on the continent. It accounts for over 40% of all Coca-Cola products sold in Africa by volume. Coca-Cola Beverages Zambia (CCBZ) presents an exciting opportunity for the Country Lead: Key Accounts to join the Commercial team. The role will report to the Director Sales.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Revenue and Margin Growth: Achieve and exceed revenue growth targets through optimal execution of channel strategies and key account management.
- Customer Trading Terms: Successfully negotiate and implement customer trading term agreements that drive profitability and revenue growth, ensuring alignment with key role players, such as The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC).
- Pack Price Architecture: Implement and drive compliance with CCBA’s pack price architecture within customer groups, ensuring it aligns with revenue goals.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth operational execution by working closely with Supply Chain and Logistics to meet customer demand and maintain service excellence.
- Governance: Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, minimizing business risk through strong governance practices
- Customer Satisfaction and Growth: Strengthen customer relationships, driving mutual business growth by delivering on agreed plans and resolving issues proactively.
- Team Leadership: Build a highly capable and motivated key accounts team, enabling the achievement of business goals through effective talent development and leadership.
Skills, Experience & Education
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- A postgraduate qualification would be advantageous
Experience
- 12+ years of experience in national key account management within FMCG or a related industry
- Proven experience in developing and executing channel strategies to drive revenue and market share
- Strong background in customer relationship management and stakeholder alignment
- Leadership experience with a focus on team development and talent management
Skills
- Ability to translate strategic goals into operational and tactical execution plans
- Strong negotiation skills to manage customer trading terms and optimize commercial practices
- Expertise in building and managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to drive mutual business success
- Ability to collaborate with RGM teams to drive revenue growth using OBPPCE strategies
- Deep understanding of the market and the ability to leverage consumer, shopper, and competitor insights to inform decisions
- Proven track record in leading and developing teams to drive business results and foster talent growth
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Supply Chain and Logistics to ensure demand is forecasted and met efficiently.
