Roadside Hotels is looking for an events Coordinator to join the hospitality team and who will be fully responsible for the full life cycle of an event, from initial concept and planning to execution and post-event analysis.
JOB PURPOSE:
With direct reporting line to the Hotel Manager, the Events Coordinator will spearhead in planning, organizing and executing events such as weddings, conferences, corporate events, parties and festivals, and ensuring that they cater to the clients’ needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include communicating with clients and stakeholders, managing vendors and staff, overseeing on-site operations, handling event promotion, and conducting post-event evaluations. Strong organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, along with a detail-oriented approach and experience with event management tools, are essential for success in this role.
COMPETENCIES
- Proficiency in cooking tenator is responsible for the full life cycle of an event, from initial concept and planning to execution and post-event analysis.
- Strong organisation and multi-tasking skills
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Have a minimum of certificate in Event management, or Food and beverages service Certificate.
- Should be a member of a tourism and hospitality professional body.
- 2 -3 years’ work experience in a similar role in a reputable institution.
