JOB DETAILS:
CARITAS CZECH REPUBLIC
An international NGO active in humanitarian aid and development cooperation implementing a project with the title Multi-sectoral interventions to prevent the spread and mitigate the impact of COVID-19 pandemic in Western Province and Lusaka, Zambia. The project aims at strengthening public health responses and improving community awareness, to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and mitigating its impact on the affected livelihoods and agriculture markets; is looking for FIELD OFFICERS .

Responsibilities:
• Support and assist the Project Manager and/ Project Officer
• Ensure implementation of activities according to project document such as mobilisation of communities, support of school program (model gardens, sensitisation of pupils, promotion of good household hygiene and handwashing practices, sensitisation of common diseases among pregnant and lactating women, promotion of ‘Good Food’ logo, mobilisation and selection of farmers and cooperatives, support organization of trainings and any other relevant activities, participate in procurement process
• Cooperate with Project Manager and Project Officer on activity planning, implementation of activities and reporting
• Participates on assessments, data collection, processing and analysis of project related data
• Maintain necessary project administration

Requirements:
• Tertiary education (university/college degree in agriculture, agronomy, marketing or any related subject)
• Min 2 years of proven experience in agriculture-related sector and cooperatives, experience in value-chains and agro-processing, nutrition, public health is an advantage
• Proven experience in community mobilization and field work
• Motorcycle driving license
• Excellent computer skills – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and internet
• Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is an advantage
• Fluent in English and knowledge of relevant local language for specific district – written and spoken
• Ability to work with different partners, local authorities, local organizations and NGOs, to develop and maintain positive relationships
• Integrity and willingness to work and produce results in a dynamic environment
• Good time management, commitment, team worker, reliable and hardworking, able to work under pressure and in challenging environment
