JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE
To comply with statutory requirements of reporting financial performance of Airtel Networks Zambia under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:
• • Ensuring alignment of all Business Units in Airtel Networks Zambia with the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) signed with Finance Shared Services.
• • Ensuring accuracy of all transactions posted in the General ledgers (GL) and Sub-Ledgers.
• • Ensuring all transactions posted in the GL are in line with applicable company accounting guidelines/policies, Internal Controls of the business and relevant IFRS.
• • Analytical review of Revenue in line with Key business revenue drivers.
• • Reviewing of Finance Cost, Depreciation, Amortization and Tax Expenses with valid back up for all movements.
• • Following the Monthly Book Closure and Reporting Calendar circulated by Group and ensure the Books are closed within the stipulated strict timelines only.
• • End to End handling of Internal Audits and External Audit, Sharing of Information on Time and Closure of queries raised in a Timely and Quality Manner.
• • Ensuring all critical balance sheet reconciliations are completed as per guidelines.
• • Maintaining a register of key matters arising from balance sheet reconciliations with relevant action plans and closure dates as part of monthly governance process.
• • Ensuring end to end management of Vendor Purchase to Payment Cycle.
• • Ensuring monthly submission of Internal Control Framework Certification as per monthly reporting calendar.
• • Ensuring Segregation of Duties are in place and is being observed all times.

REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
• • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or
• • Professional qualification in Accounting (CIMA, ACCA, etc.)

Relevant Experience:
• • Minimum of nine (9) to eleven (11) years of experience in Financial Reporting.
• • Knowledge of the latest accounting tools / Software available for reporting.
• • Knowledge of changes in the Accounting Standards applied under IFRS.
• • Exposure to an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment.
• • Background in telecommunications / service industry.
