Oval Mining Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of our company’s vehicle fleet operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient utilization, maintenance, safety, and compliance of the fleet while supporting drivers and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee fleet management and operations, including scheduling, maintenance, and vehicle usage tracking.
- Coordinate vehicle assignments to drivers and departments for optimal efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, road safety regulations, and vehicle documentation.
- Schedule and supervise regular vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Monitor vehicle condition and promptly report issues or damages.
- Maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards across all fleet operations.
- Manage driver schedules, assignments, and performance.
- Support delivery and logistics activities to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Keep accurate fleet records, including fuel consumption, maintenance logs, and usage reports.
- Protect company property and confidential information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Transport & Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in fleet management or logistics operations.
- Membership with CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport) is mandatory.
- A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety and efficiency.
