JOB DETAILS:
Natwampane is a Zambian Government programme, led by the Gender Division (under the Office of the President), with funding from the European Union (EU). The programme was launched in December 2019 and works in all 12 districts of Luapula Province, where NCA is the lead agency. The overall objective of the programme is to reduce SGBV with two specific objectives.
1. To prevent Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) by challenging and changing beliefs, attitudes and practices; and
2. To increase SGBV survivors’ access and use of comprehensive support services. The objectives are being achieved through engagement of various stakeholders such as traditional and faith leaders to influence norm change; in and out of school adolescents and young people to influence behavioural change; twelve One Stop Centres (OSCs) are providing comprehensive post SGBV care services to survivors of SGBV.
As our GBV response specialist, you will provide support to NCA partners and government staff working in government-led One Stop Centres. This support will include capacity building (training and coaching) of the OSC staff, NCA staff and partners in relevant topics; quality control and supervision of all NCA and NGO partner work related to response activities, including the design and delivery of training materials; making assessments of the OSCs and related capacity building plans for OSC staff in order to ultimately ensure adherence to global minimum standards for survivor care and case management. Start date: June 2022 Contract type/period: Fixed term appointment, 18 months assignment Duty station: Mansa, Luapula Province, Zambia Applications will be assessed on an ongoing basis

Job description
Lead SGBV specific assessments in the target area Lead the implementation of a comprehensive and holistic SGBV Response programme Design training materials and facilitate capacity building (training and coaching) for partners, staff and other stakeholders on GBV response, particularly:
• GBV Minimum Standards, and their implementation
• Managing and Setting Up Women and Girls Safe Spaces and One Stop Centres,
• GBV Case Management
• Psychological First Aid
• Caring for Survivors/Caring for Child Survivors (or similar)
• GBV Coordination
• GBVIMS
• Clinical management of rape
• Facilitate case conferencing as part of GBV Case Management Services
• Actively engage in GBV related coordination mechanisms, including developing relationships and networking with other NGOs, government partners and the donor community
• Write and/or contribute to reports for donors
• Ensure that programme implementation is according to project plans and donor requirements and adheres to NCA’s routines, guidelines, and donor regulations

Qualifications
• MA (or equivalent) in social work, social sciences, gender, development, nursing and/or other relevant field. Extensive field experience may compensate for a master’s degree.
• Minimum three years professional experience in managing, setting up and coordinating SGBV programmes to GBV Global Minimum / GBViE Standards, GBV case management, GBVIMS, and Referral pathways.
• Solid experience in capacity building of SGBV response service providers (health, legal, security and psychosocial), particularly by coaching and training using participatory methods related to different components of SGBV programming (e.g. Psychological First Aid; Caring for Survivors/Caring for Child Survivors; Clinical management of rape).
• Experience in leading and assisting in rapid assessments related to GBV and comprehensive assessments:
• Experience with donor relations and report writing is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English, written and oral is a requirement.
