Main Purpose:

  • Responsible for defining and coordination of GTM Strategy to enable Customer Facing Squads to deliver tailored offerings to farmers in Southern Africa Countries
  • Support and enable Customer Facing Squads to activate their go-to-market strategies and territory plans. Enable successful rollout of new portfolio and technologies
  • Responsible for analyzing macro-trends, customer needs and market insights to identify and support roll out of  effective effective strategies while envisioning new business opportunities
  • Responsible for portfolio /solutions management coordinated with and relevant unit support, technical and product teams

Key Tasks & Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate and manage GtM outcomes and drive strategy integration in Southern Africa countries  in close collaboration with relevant Customer Facing Squads and Unit Support Squad teams and functions
  • Drive cross functional collaboration and cocreation of value propositions, with clear outcomes to the Field Marketing and CFSs  teams
  • Coordinate Portfolio review conjointly with relevant product and technical teams  .Ensure clear local portfolio analysis and management to support business growth in Southern Africa
  • Design and follow-up with the various CFSs on actionable territory plans to enable consistent and effective execution across countries
  • Analyze the sub-regional crop market, macro-trends and competitor strategies to identify new business opportunities based upon unmet needs of current and new customers, including partners within the crop systems
  • Develop & implement short-, mid- and long-term integrated Go to Market (GtM) strategies for relevant crops, adapting GTM strategies to Southern Africa key customer segment needs.
  • Collaborate  with business intelligence and customer insight teams to generate necessary customer insights and data that support customer centric GtM strategies
  • Collaborate with other USS teams to Manage and co-ordinate pricing and market funding initiatives
  • Ensure dedicated involvement of interfaces in developing tailored solutions on a need basis

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5 to10 year’ experience in marketing and/ or sales.
  • Solid knowledge of agricultural systems and farm agronomy with relevance for the region.
  • Ability to develop and apply meaningful customer segments based on deep understanding of customers insights.
  • Ability to utilize complex data points in order o understand market trends and anticipate future requirements.
  • Ability to develop, differentiating strategies based on compelling and novel solutions for customer needs
  • Ability to develop, foster and utilize a broad base of networks at all levels of the organization and across geographies
  • Ability to drive change in complex organization
  • Ability to collaborate/communicate with and develop internal and external partnerships
