Company Overview
We are a well-established and growing travel agency based in Lusaka, providing corporate and leisure travel solutions. We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager to lead the overall operations and growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the travel agency
- Oversee day-to-day operations including ticketing, tours, customer service, and administration
- Develop and implement business growth strategies to increase revenue and market share
- Manage relationships with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and corporate clients
- Ensure compliance with Zambian tourism regulations, IATA standards, and company policies
- Lead, mentor, and manage staff performance across all departments
- Prepare budgets, manage costs, and ensure financial targets are met
- Monitor market trends and introduce competitive travel products and services
- Handle high-level client negotiations and resolve escalated customer issues
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Business Administration, Management, or a related field
- A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g. IATA) will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in the travel or tourism industry
- At least 5 years in a senior management or leadership role
- Strong understanding of travel agency operations, ticketing systems, and supplier management
- Proven experience in business development and team leadership

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
- High level of professionalism and integrity
