Jhpiego invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following position:
HIS Support Officer .
Responsibilities
• Support development and maintenance of database systems for the project
• Provide technical support to users in the facilities run SmartCare and resolve issues
• Support roll-out and deployment of new installations of SmartCare
• Perform upgrades of SmartCare in sites, verifying that sites were migrated correctly
• Conduct trainings of facility staff in SmartCare
• Help develop e-learning materials for SmartCare
• Help set up site monitoring systems for SmartCare and giving feedback on performance of SmartCare in the sites
• Support ECHO roll-out
• Support roll-out of ELMIS and provide training to users
• Provide leadership and guidance to the technical team and program counterparts on specific Smart Care needs for programmatic decision-making.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT related field.
• Experience in implementing USG funded programs.
• Understanding of Donor regulations, compliance and reporting requirements.
• At least five years of experience in successful implementation of SmartCare and management in any of the following areas: maternal, newborn and child health; nutrition; family planning; malaria control; HIV/AIDS or TB programs for public, private or NGO sector.
• Quality improvement approaches to strengthen service delivery
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
• Results-oriented and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to achieve desired results.
• Strong communication (writing and oral presentation) skills.
Job Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT related field.
Job Experience Requirements: At least five years
