Job Responsibilities:
• Be the first point of contact for all HR-related queries
• Administer HR-related documentation, such as pre- employment packs, contracts of employment, etc.
• Ensure that the HR System (Workday) is up to date, accurate and complies with company standards
• Ensure that Org structures, reporting lines, job titles and other critical employee data is regularly checked, confirmed with line managers and then updated on Workday
• Create new positions on Workday upon receiving appropriate approvals
• Assist with the recruitment process – place adverts and collate responses for the relevant hiring managers
• Liaise with recruitment agencies in terms of scheduling interviews
• Set up appointments for Psychometric Assessments if and where required
• Collate reports and interview packs for line management
• Conduct candidate Risk Assessments through recognised agencies
• Collate relevant documentation for Visa and Work Permit applications
• Hiring of new employees on Workday
• Placing orders for new equipment and access cards for new hires
• Ensuring accuracy of leave records on Workday
• Handling of general payroll and administration queries
• Generating weekly / month-end HR reports such as Leave Reports, Head Count and Turnover stats
• Maintenance of accurate staff and payroll records in line with legislative requirements
• Manage all IR matters
• Handle Ad hoc request or projects relating to HR
• Provide relevant information for payroll changes and input monthly
• Occasional support to other countries in the region could be requested

Job Qualifications:
• HR diploma / degree
• 4-6 years HR experience within a unionised organization (international exposure advantageous)
• Ability to manage complex and fast pace environment with more than 100 employees
• 2 years payroll administration
• Broad knowledge of payroll related procedures
• Extensive knowledge of Zambian labour and related law
• Experience in dealing with Employee Relations or IR issues
• Detail conscious and precise
• Highly numerate, and the ability to analyse data
• Self-starter and pro-active attitude
• Good communication skills
• Experience in collective agreement and organised labour relations
• Fluent in English (other language advantageous)
• Computer literate – MS Office Suite and one of the major HRIS systems
