Job Purpose

To provide efficient HR and administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the mine site, assist in implementing human resource policies, and maintain accurate personnel and administrative records in line with company and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Support

  • Assist with the recruitment process including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, and onboarding new employees.
  • Maintain and update employee files, leave records, and other related HR documents.
  • Support performance management activities by preparing evaluation forms and tracking submission timelines.
  • Assist in the administration of payroll data and employee benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, health and safety regulations, and company HR policies.
  • Coordinate staff training, welfare programmes, and employee engagement initiatives at the mine site.

Administration Support

  • Handle general administrative duties such as filing, correspondence, and document control.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and logistics to ensure efficient operations.
  • Support travel arrangements, accommodation bookings, and transport coordination for staff and visitors.
  • Maintain an updated inventory of company assets, stationery, and consumables.
  • Assist in organizing company meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Provide administrative support to site management and other departments as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in HR or administrative role, preferably in the mining or industrial sector.
  • Member of ZIHRM (Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management) will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Zambian labour laws, HR practices, and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR information systems.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced mining environment.
  • Proactive and resourceful with a team-oriented mindset.
