JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
To operate drilling machines to create precise holes, countersinks, and bores in various materials (stone, metal, aluminium) as required for assembly and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate pillar drills, radial arm drills, or CNC drilling machines.
- Select correct drill bits and tooling for specific materials and hole specifications.
- Follow drilling patterns from technical drawings and templates.
- Ensure holes are drilled to correct depth, diameter, and alignment.
- Maintain drilling equipment and keep the work area clean and safe.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Technical training in machining or metalwork.
- Proven experience as a drill machinist in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring tools (calipers, gauges).
- Meticulous and precision-oriented.
