Job Purpose
To provide strategic and operational leadership in the management of human resources and administration functions at MICCL. The role will ensure effective implementation of the HR strategy, strengthen HR governance, oversee the HR Information System (HRIS) and employee records, manage performance management processes, and coordinate occupational health and safety programmes, thereby enabling MICCL to attract, develop, retain, and engage top talent to achieve its business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an HR strategy aligned with MICCL’s business objectives.
- Oversee HR operations, budgeting and ensure effective resource utilisation.
- Coordinate the Performance Management System i.
- Maintain and update accurate employee data and HRIS records.
- Review and update HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Prepare and present monthly HR reports.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws on occupational health and safety.
- Develop the annual HR calendar and manpower plan.
- Lead the recruitment process from job adverts to candidate selection.
- Maintain accurate records of recruitment and selection processes.
- Develop and implement a recruitment strategy to attract top talent.
- Coordinate training of interview panels and ensure objective candidate assessment.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with five (5) credits, including Mathematics and English.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Social Science, or related field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive HR generalist experience at the management level in a comparable organisation.
- Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) with a valid practising certificate.
- A Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Social Science, or a related field will be an added advantage.
