Job Purpose
The ICT Teacher (Cambridge Curriculum) will deliver engaging and effective ICT lessons that develop students' digital literacy, programming, and problem-solving skills. The role includes designing creative learning experiences, integrating technology into teaching, and supporting the development of 21st-century learning across the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver ICT lessons in alignment with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
- Teach across different levels (primary, lower secondary, and IGCSE).
- Develop students' understanding of key ICT concepts including computing, coding, digital communication, and responsible internet use.
- Design and assess practical projects that enhance students' critical thinking and technical skills.
- Integrate technology effectively into classroom teaching and learning.
- Provide guidance and support to students preparing for Cambridge assessments.
- Maintain up-to-date records of students' progress, attendance, and assessment results.
- Ensure the safe and ethical use of technology by all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote digital literacy across the curriculum.
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, or Education with ICT specialization.
- At least 2 years' experience teaching ICT in a Cambridge or international school environment.
- Strong knowledge of Cambridge ICT syllabus (Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE).
- Excellent classroom management and lesson planning skills.
- Proficiency in software applications, coding, and use of educational technology tools.
- Commitment to continuous learning and student-centered teaching.
