The Opportunity
Hobbiton is looking for an experienced and organized IT Project Manager to oversee technology projects that drive our digital finance ecosystem. Based at our Head Office in Lusaka, this role is ideal for a detail-oriented project leader who can deliver quality solutions on time and within budget.
What You Will Do
- Lead and manage end-to-end IT projects—from initiation to closure
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and resources
- Prepare project plans and track progress using project management tools
- Coordinate internal teams and external vendors for successful delivery
- Monitor budgets, schedules, and overall project performance
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, cybersecurity, and quality standards
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and senior management
- Manage change control processes for scope or timeline variations
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and recommend improvements
Requirements
- Full Grade Twelve or O-level Certificate
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT project management
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification is an added advantage
- Proven track record delivering development, infrastructure, or digital transformation projects
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and vendors
- Strong project planning, coordination, and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making ability
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, Jira, Asana, or Trello
- Working knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and software development
- Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
