JOB ADVERTISEMENT
The Commission seeks to recruit 2500 qualified and experienced Zambian nationals to fill the position of Inspection Officers on part-time basis to be deployed in all Polling Stations across the country.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Inspection Officer is responsible for verifying, updating and directing voters to the correctional centres.
REPORTING ACCOUNTABILITY
The Inspection Officer will report to the Assistant Voter Registration Officer – Supervisor (ARO-S) in their respective constituencies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Checking voters’ names, photographs, and personal information on the provisional register.
- Assisting voters to confirm their details and explaining the verification process.
- Noting errors such as wrong names, dates of birth, or missing details for correction.
- Directing voters with complex issues to correction centres equipped with registration kits.
- Ensuring that the verification process is conducted lawfully, transparently, and fairly.
- Ensure safety of materials are maintained and requests for any additional materials are made timely;
- Submitting daily reports on activities, challenges, and updates to supervisors of the Electoral Commission.
- Maintain close collaboration with the Assistant Registration Officer – Technical Support (ARO-TS); and
- Perform any other responsibilities as requested by ARO-S.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have a Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent with passes in English and Mathematics;
- Must be a Zambian citizen with a green National Registration Card;
- Have experience in Electoral activities
