| Job Description |
The role is responsible for all aspects of stock management and the leadership and management of Team Leaders to ensure everyone contributes to the delivery of the logistics objectives. This position s report in the Logistics Manager. |
| Key Duties & Responsibilities |
- Oversee stock alignment, ensure stock on the floor and stock on hand are consistently matched
- Investigate and resolve stock variations and manage daily reconciliation of all inbound and outbound processes, including CCBZ & Chep pallet management
- Ensure compliance with stock processes, manage stock age, and handle associated write-offs and salvaging
- Lead and support the stock team by providing continuous training, coaching, and performance management.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet operational requirements and manage work hours and days of the week.
- Conduct regular team meetings, resolve issues proactively, and communicate clear KPI expectations and achievements
- Manage and reduce unaccountable and accountable waste, and control CCBZ & Chep pallet-associated costs.
- Use information systems to track and achieve key performance indicators, ensuring accurate and timely system transactions
- Oversee cost management by ensuring proper care of stock and assets, optimizing resource allocation
- Drive adherence to daily controls and report non-compliance to IFC/governance controls for corrective action.
- Communicate the impact of non-adherence and identify parties not complying with stock processes
- Monitor and manage Proof of delivery processes, ensuring performance measures are met and compliance is maintained

| Skills, Experience & Education |
- Handling stock variances and performing daily reconciliations for inbound and outbound processes
- Have knowledge on Food and safety standards e.g. FS ISO 22000, ZSCA standards
- Ensure consistent alignment of stock on floor and stock on hand, and address variances promptly
- Drive adherence to stock processes, report non-compliance, and ensure all governance controls are met
- Managing warehouse costs, including waste reduction and cost control, particularly related to CCBZ & CHEP pallets.
- Background in optimizing warehouse operations, including managing Proof of delivery processes and performance measures.
- Advanced knowledge of all Warehouse Processes (and accountable parties) and understanding of inter-relationships between processes.
- Advanced understanding of the Settlement, proof of delivery and Stock Management Processes

| General |
- Grade 12, O level with 5 credits or better
- Minimum Diploma in Logistics/Warehousing
- 3 years’ work experience at a supervisory level within an operational environment
- Wet Depot/production Interface experience will be an added advantage
- Advanced Computer skills, SAP and Excel experience will be an advantage
- Good communication skills
- Team player and self-starter
- Good problem-solving and Analytical skills
