We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to support our attorneys in delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, proofread, and format complex legal documents including pleadings, contracts, and memoranda.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and compile findings to support case strategies.
- Manage and organize voluminous case files, discovery materials, and evidence.
- Coordinate with clients, courts, and external counsel to schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions.
- Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and ensure timely filings.
- Assist in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks such as billing, time entry, and correspondence.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Legal Studies or related field; Paralegal certification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a law firm or legal department handling complex or high-volume matters.
- Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in litigation, regulatory compliance, or corporate law.
- Familiarity with electronic discovery platforms and court filing systems.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
