Job Purpose

The Lubricant Supply Chain Coordinator will monitor report on the company’s inventory and with efficient handling of the company’s products for the attainment of business goals. Take charge of the Implementation of the Organization’s Business Roadmap and Lubricants Department strategies.

Summary of Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work with the Logistics and Supply Chain (LSC) team on quality control measures and continuously manages inventory levels.
  • Assist in planning and optimising of supply of all Lubricants, Car Care products, blending and packaging materials from Local suppliers
  • Monitor local and foreign supplies to ensure completeness of orders and contracts.
  • Ensure effective risk management and internal control. This includes asset management for the area of direct responsibility, as well as compliance of business partners,
  • Complete regular surveys of the organization’s inventory, evaluating performance and quality control in accordance with the service level agreement (SLA).
  • Identify conflicts in service levels against resource utilization and drives cost savings where service levels are not being impacted, such as reduction in inventory levels, repackaging, improved handling, loss prevention, and stock management.
  • Implement suitable inventory management control measures such as Min/Max levels, order cycle, safety time stock levels, and order quantities.
  • Investigate and recommend equipment and automation upgrades for both inventory and transportation, considering cost benefit.
  • Ensure operational excellence within a customer centricity environment.
  • Manage the staff, business partners, to align to all relevant health, safety, environmental and quality standards
  • Develop and track performance of all variable cost KPI’s for the lubricants channel. Blending, DAP Transport and Stock Transfers
  • Manage stock levels in depots and liaise with stakeholders for supply optimization
  • Plan and manage orderly movement of supplies to depots to prevent demurrage costs.
  • Work in collaboration with depot managers and all dispatch teams to ensure Supply chain optimisation in conformity to set specification and standards.
  • Monitoring of current and potential local and international Supply points for cost optimisation and efficiency.
  • Perform analyses for international market prices and advise senior management on best options (local & foreign).
  • Develop and implement all purchasing policies and procedures, in partnership with marketing and administration.
  • Assist follow ups of financial obligations to Suppliers
  • Provide regular reports to measure stock and service level performance and cost needs. Liaises with inbound and transit and supply teams to ensure stock availability within aligned with order management and customer service requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Procurement, Logistics, Business Management or Engineering
  • Must have a minimum of 4+ years’ experience in Fuel Logistics operations
  • Certification in HSSEQ shall have an added advantage.
  • Must have knowledge in Logistics, Purchase and supply broad knowledge and skills.
  • Proven working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g., ERP)
  • Good knowledge in warehouse & product handling
  • Experienced in Supply Contract management.
  • Knowledge of Price build up Oil Market Analysis (pricing, premium, freight etc.) will be a plus       
  • Proven experience in building internal and external relationships across multiple interfaces
  • Leading and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be a member of ZIPS/CILT/EIZ
